Eric Bell is one of my professors in Mortuary School. He knows how important it is for students to not only learn what is in our textbooks, but also how to be kind, compassionate, and caring to families in grief. He treats all of the families he helps with respect and dignity, and helps us to all understand how important we are to those who have lost a loved one. He is a wonderful example to all of us, and we appreciate all he does for the community.

Eric Bell provides exemplary service to grieving families. When a loved one dies, there are so many details that can easily be overlooked. Mr. Bell makes sure that everything is taken care of so that we don't have to. He is dedicated to his company as well as his community. When my father -in-law was dying we contacted Eric. He helped us through the hardest time in our lives, with compassion and such class, every step of the way.
I met Eric recently at a car show in Planfield Indiana. We were showing our classic cars and we had an opportunity to not only talk about the car hobby, but also our professions. Eric talked enthusiastically about his business and the once in a lifetime opportunity he was given to serve his community of Pittsboro, along with other surrounding communities. I was impressed with how hard he has worked toward reaching his goal of owning his own business. I have had the unhappy task of handling funeral arrangements for three family members. It's a difficult thing to do and it's easy to be intimidated by a big chain funeral home and the sales tactics they sometimes use. I was struck by the fact that while talking to Eric, he always went back to service and community. He talked about the history of David A Hall Mortuary and the changes had been made to modernize his business, while always respecting tradition.
